The issue of urban farming has only begun to be explored in Kansas City. The City Council's decision to change the development code on June 10 and provide more guidance for what's allowable within the city limits is the first step in a prolonged (and at times heated) discussion between locavores and neighborhood associations (who are not always mutually exclusive).
