Art of Pizza to open second location in Westport

The Art of Pizza is opening a second location in Westport this summer at 417 Westport Road -- the former site of Papa Keno's Pizzeria.

The pizza shop will be in the space adjacent to the Westport Cafe & Bar (419 Westport Road, formerly the location of Blanc Burgers + Bottles), which opened last month.

The new space will mirror the aesthetic of the interior at the Crossroads location.

With Joe's Pizza Buy The Slice (4058 Pennsylvania Avenue) and the Art of Pizza, suddenly Westport is the place to go for a slice.

Perhaps the new influx will help fill the holes in the heart of the Pitch's Alan Scherstuhl, who wrote a stirring piece in February about the vacant spaces that stand as empty reminders of how vibrant Westport once was. 


I'm hoping to get a tour of the new space next week and see how it has changed from the long counter that greeted visitors to the former Papa Keno's. So pictures and a firm opening date will be forthcoming.
