I'll take the falafel plate

Fold it in a wedge of pita and you've got a hot sandwich
You can also call these fried chickpea patties -- according to the most recent updated version of The Food Lover's Companion -- "croquettes," unless, of course, they're ball-shaped. The falafel at the restaurant serving this dish are very green, thanks to the fresh cilantro in the batter. They also look like doughnuts because the owner, to assure that the patties are thoroughly cooked, sticks his finger through the patty before it goes into the hot oil.

Which local restaurant serves this dish?

Let's give a rousing falafel yell for Karen who guessed correctly: This falafel plate is from The Village Restaurant at 91st and Metcalf!

Surely it's not Jerusalem Cafe. I'm thinking more like Aladdin on 39th. Falafel - one of life's great pleasures!
