The Chiefs biggest free agent acquisition won't be making any noise on the field. In fact, the sea of red fans will likely be noticeably quieter thanks to the newest tenant at Arrowhead Stadium -- Blanc Burgers + Bottles.
It's hard to cheer when your mouth is full of a delicious, grilled hamburger. Blanc announced via Facebook that they'll be slinging burgers during Chiefs' games next season and will be serving this weekend during the Kansas City Wizards' match.
The Kansas City Star's sports blog, Barbecue Sauce, notes that Blanc already has paid homage to one Chiefs' player with the Jamaal Charles Burger. It's an 8 oz. burger ($12) stuffed with white cheddar cheesy corn and topped with bacon, butter lettuce, tomato and mayo on a salt and pepper brioche bun.
Blanc's Chef Josh Eans says that Blanc will serve its classic burger, a bratwurst burger with cheddar and jalapeno on a pretzel bun, and their lentil burger. Fries and sweet potato fries will also be available with Blanc's housemade ketchup.
This is your challenge tailgaiting nation to step up what you're cranking out on your grills because just inside Arrowhead will be one of the best burgers in Kansas City.

tried it at the wizards- man u game. The brat burger was burnt to a crisp sweet potato fries were so salty they were inedible and the the burger was bland and again charred beyond recognition. If you are using local ingredients please dont destroy them. and by the way they dont source all their food local the beef is vintage beef brand raised in california because i guess we dont have beef in the midwest? so get off your soap box about that please.
I have to disagree with you people who think Blanc is overpriced, based purely on philosophy. It's better to eat local food. Blanc sources all of its food locally. That in itself is worth paying extra for.
I am going to say that people who think it's overpriced for no particular reason (i.e. me) went there, tried it and probably won't be back anymore. However, they are located in the areas where people don't mind spending more money for something trendy and overhyped, so more power to them. There are plenty of options for people who like good food and not willing to pay for bragging rights.
However, since I paid, I reserve the right to complain about the prices all I want.
It's pretty simple people. If you don't like paying high prices for food, don't go. You're doing yourself and the restaurant a favor. Last thing a resto needs is someone distracting their good food by complaining about prices...newsflash...restaurants are expensive to keep open and they would do much better with out the cheapskate loudmouths.
I'm not a hater, but it isn't sacrilege to point out that Blanc's price point, especially for people drinking non-alcoholic beverages besides water, is far too high for what you get. Last time I was there, two hamburgers, a shared order of fries, one beer and one soda came to well over $40 with tip. That is way overpriced, and doubly so when you consider that the beef isn't exactly the best in town. Room 39 serves vastly better hamburgers with the best fries in town for several dollars less.
I won't go back except at lunch, where the special is much more sane.
honestly, never got a point of cheesy corn. I've heard so much about it, then tried few times and it's just ... canned corn in melted cheese.really? I even made it at home.
Or you could get beef ribs, pork ribs, lamb ribs, fries, AND a whole damn crock of cheesy corn for $20 at Jack Stack.
Which was sorta my point.
I'll happily pay $12 for a burger stuffed with cheesy corn. Make it Jack Stack's cheese corn and I'd pay $20, and the Truffle fries are worth a visit alone.
Haters gonna hate.
Erin - A burger AND FRIES is $13-16 at Blanc...and that's for the normal, non-lobster-topped burgers. Not wanting to pay that price doesn't make one cheap; most people want something other than a burger when they drop that kind of money on a meal.
Most people also don't give two shits about whether the watercress on their burger is organic.
Cheap, much? Blanc is amazing. If you want an $8 burger, go to Applebee's. Blanc uses more local and organic ingredients than any burger joint around here, and the food is delicious. Buck up and pay the extra $2.
You said it MC! I commented that when Blanc had a 50% Groupon out that their price was finally where it should be.
Also, can the do away with the exclusive "bottles" shait? Seriously, that type of food calls for free refills
