Cereal marshmallows without all that annoying cereal

Everything you need to start your day off right.
  • Everything you need to start your day off right.

Cereal marshmallows are like the gum that used to come in packs of baseball cards. There was always one kid who openly loved it. The rest of us just snatched up pieces when nobody was looking and kept our enjoyment to ourselves.

But I bet you used to count yourself fortunate when your cereal-to-marshmallow ratio was higher than normal after tipping a box of Lucky Charms into your bowl. And if that last spoonful from the slightly pinkish milk happened to be mostly marshmallow, well, that was the point, right? We can end the charade. Packages consisting solely of cereal marshmallows are now available online.

Boing Boing led me to the website, Cerealmarshmallows.com, which apparently exists for the sole purpose of selling bagged cereal marshmallows. The site's raison d'etre is fairly outstanding:

Right here in the USA [sic] I found the perfect Marshmallow only Problem was I had to order over 10,000 pounds WOW and Marshmallows are LIGHT this is a SEMI Truck full well a big step up but nonetheless one we made and now we sell out every 4 months or so
The marshmallows come in an assortment of half-circles, squares, quarter moons and triangles. You can order up to 95 pounds, which runs you $399.99. The smallest size available includes two 7-ounce bags for $14.98, including shipping.

The site is apparently the work of Nathan Wratislaw, whose other ventures include smooth rides, vitamins and stereo equipment. And so at the heart of a great idea we find another American entrepreneur.
