Diners will be getting double their entertainment value tonight at Hamburger Mary's, that lavender, louche little burger shack and bar at 101 Southwest Boulevard.
Beginning at 7 p.m., all 10 of the TV monitors in the dining room, lounge and upstairs patio will be tuned to Fox's hit show Glee tonight is the first show of the second season.
After the Glee opener, the featured femme mimic
(and former Hamburger Mary's waiter), vivacious Valerie Versace, hosts
another edition of this venue's Charity Bingo. All proceeds from
tonight's bingo game will be donated to the Kansas City Anti-Violence
Project.
"Our clientele absolutely loves Glee," explains Chad Mantooth, marketing consultant for the restaurant. "We've played videos from the first season since we opened. It really appeals to the same audience that loves Hamburger Mary's."
The cost to play charity bingo is $10, with that fee donated to the Kansas City Anti-Violence Project.
