Kansas City might feel a bit more homey on Tuesday, November 9. That's when chef Ina Garten comes here to talk about her new cookbook, Barefoot Contessa: How Easy Is That.
The Food Network star speaks at Unity Temple on the Plaza
(707 West 47th Street) from noon to 1 p.m. She'll be talking to Vivien
Jennings of Rainy Day Books, the event's organizer.
Barefoot Contessa: How Easy Is That is a cookbook about making simple dishes well, and it covers cocktails to dessert. The recipes include the ultimate grilled cheese sandwich, smoked salmon deviled eggs, pink-grapefruit margaritas, red-velvet cupcakes and an "easy" Parmesan risotto.
Tickets cost $35 plus tax, which includes admission to the talk and a signed copy of Garten's cookbook. If you can't make the event, the cookbook is out on store shelves next Tuesday, October 26.
