Burger King is giving out free cups of coffee on Friday mornings in November. The promotion starts tomorrow and is valid during standard breakfast hours (until 10:30 a.m. at most locations).
It's the second biggest news for Burger King locally, as Fat City's Charles Ferruzza broke the story last week that its upscale Whopper Bar concept would be replacing Chefburger in the Power & Light District.
Burger King is hoping to convince customers to try its new breakfast
menu that debuted in September with items like blueberry biscuits and
pancake platters. The coffee is Seattle's Best, owned by Starbucks, which Burger King (along with AMC) added earlier this year. It's the brand that Starbucks hopes can help introduce premium coffee to fast food and retail outlets.
In addition to the free 12 oz. cup of coffee, customers will also receive a coupon -- that can be used on a future visit -- for a free iced coffee, which is available in mocha and vanilla. A cup of coffee regularly sells for $1. No purchase is necessary to get the free cup of coffee.
