What is there to eat in Wichita?

My travels throughout Kansas will take me to Wichita on Saturday. I'm hoping that Fat City readers can do better when it comes to advising me about where to eat in the Air Capital of the World than my regular set of culinary advisors. Their response when I said where I'd be traveling was less than enthusiastic.

"Why? Why are you going to Wichita? " they replied in unison.

When humans fail, I turn to the largesse of Google's computers and ask them the same question. I bring the search engine my standard offering of cookies and silent prayers that it will have a speedy search that does not lead me to web pages that will infect my computer.

Google came up with two suggestions. The Nu Way Cafe looks like a winner, cut out of the mold of Hi Boy or Mugs Up. A burger joint that has roots back to 1930, the Wichita franchise is named for its signature burger and known for its homemade root beer and onion rings. So at least one of my three meals is covered. And worst case scenario, I'm having burgers for breakfast.

The other possibility is Harvest Kitchen & Bar. At the restaurant located inside the Hyatt Regency, Chef David Wirebaugh uses local produce and puts together seasonal menus. The smattering of reviews suggest that it might be on the pricey side, but it's tasty.

I want to be exçited about eating in Wichita, after all it was named one of Livability's 10 Surprising Food Cities, alongside Kansas City. So, Fat City readers, if you had a day to drink and eat in Wichita, where you would be found?
