Though a child of the '80s, I completely understand why brunch was all the rage in the decadent disco days of the 1970s and its present-day revival. As Charles Ferruzza points out in this week's Pitch, there's really no better way to keep the party going after last call. The afternoon meal also has curative powers: a good omelet or small stack can act as a warming salve on a bad case of the too-much-booze.
