There aren't many places in America where you can get a solid cocktail -- a literally solid cocktail that you eat with your fingers. That's why the Drop's edible cocktails are drawing some national attention.

Drinking Made Easy, a drinking travelogue television show hosted by Zane Lamprey, will air its Kansas City episode tomorrow night at 7:30 p.m. on HDNeT, and the signature two-bite cocktails will be front and center.

The Drop (409 E. 31st St.) is having a watch party tomorrow night

beginning at 7:30 p.m. There will be $5 red-wine martinis and edible

cocktails available.

Drinking Made Easy focuses on one city per episode, looking at unusual preparations or twists on bar staples. Lamprey also stopped by Buzzard Beach and the Westport Cafe & Bar, so you can expect to see them on the episode dedicated to Kansas City as well. Lamprey is the former host of Three Sheets, a similarly styled show that profiled drinking establishments around the world. Whatever you picture when you think of a guy paid to drink on camera is likely an accurate portrait of the bombastic host.

The Drop will also be on local television this month. You can catch a review on Kansas City Public Television's Check, Please! on Thursday, January 27, at 8 p.m. There is a watch party that night, which begins at 7 p.m.
