Most Americans seek out the comfort of a known burger at McDonald's when traveling. Well, Kansas Citians can now get a bite of home in Omaha, Nebraska. Blanc Burgers + Bottles opened its newest location at Midtown Crossing (3157 Farnam Street) on Thursday, and KETV has video of the restaurant.
The opening comes only weeks after the Circle Restaurant Group decided to shutter B:2 A Burger Boutique in Lee's Summit.
"It just seemed like a perfect fit in an urban setting. You know, kind of an up-and-coming area," chef and owner Josh Eans told KETV of Blanc's decision to open in Omaha.
The newest location will focus on using local ingredients (just ones native to Nebraska), like Ted & Wally's Ice Cream (an Omaha institution) for the milkshakes and Lucky Bucket Brewing Co. out of La Vista, Nebraska, for the onion rings and cheese curds. The menu is available online.
The restaurant in Midtown Crossing will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Blanc also has locations on the Plaza and at Mission Farms.
