Adult-film star Ron Jeremy continues to dabble in food and drink. Fresh off a controversial porn shoot in a Los Angeles food truck, Jeremy will apparently be the face of a new spirit -- Ron de Jeremy Rum [h/t Uncrate]. While it's not yet on Web store shelves, the "adult rum" from Panama appears to be a very real product.
While I'm not yet aware of any children's rum, the Ron de Jeremy Web site has an extensive description of what makes the seven-year-old rum seem more "adult,":
It has an inviting light amber color with very attractive copper hues. The aroma is that of carefully aged rum, with a harmoniously balance orchestra of oak, fruit and spices. It opens up smoothly, showcasing a high level of craftmanship. The oak comes through robustly and satisfyingly, yet gently enough to allow hints of vanilla and raw sugarcane to reveal themselves. The finish is elegant and long.This isn't the first time that Jeremy's mustachioed mug has graced the front of a bottle. In 2007, he unveiled a line of hot sauces -- Ron Jeremy Hot Sauce (although the website for the specialty bottler that sells it, Sauce2u.com, is currently down).
