You can have your coffee and eat it, too. The Kansas City Star's Joyce Smith reports that the Roasterie and Original Juan have collaborated on a new coffee barbecue sauce. Super Tuscan Barbeque Sauce apparently took eight months of development to perfect.

The sauce will be available at the Roasterie's locations in Leawood and Brookside on Friday. It retails for $5.99 for a 21-ounce bottle.

If you're wondering about the taste, Original Juan describes it this way:

This unique blend of Super Tuscan coffee with the bold BBQ flavors of Original Juan can only be described as one of a kind ... perhaps even "coffeelicious."

Original Juan owner Joe Polo talked about the new barbecue sauce at the Winter Fancy Food Show in San Francisco, saying it was for "the coffee lovers out there."

The coffee barbecue sauce is at Original Juan's gift shop at 111 Southwest Boulevard in Kansas City, Kansas. It's also available on the company's website for $4.19. This is the first collaboration for the two companies.

Outside of Cowtown BBQ sauce (which is Oklahoma Joes recipe) I've never been too impressed with Original Juans lineup.

I thought I saw this at Sam's Club over the weekend. Every couple of weeks, they put up a display and you can pick 3 items out from the Original Juan lineup.
