Christopher Elbow heard you screaming, Leawood. Announced on Facebook yesterday, the second location of Glace Artisan Ice Cream will be opening at the One Nineteen shopping center (119th Street and Roe) this summer. The chocolatier's original location at 4960 Main opened last May to a line of people eager to try unique flavors such as pineapple cilantro sorbet, Venezuelan dark chocolate and salted pretzel.

The new Leawood shop will not be the only frozen-dessert option at One Nineteen. Mochi-Yo Yogurt Bar opened in April 2009, well before the great frozen-yogurt craze of the past two years.

Frequently we will see high value coupons available at "Printapons" (printable coupons) when a new product is being introduced or when a product is going to undergo a radical change.

@Chimpotle...you're right, there's an Orange Leaf at Camelot Court (119th and Roe).

BOOSH!!!

This has got to be awful news for Mochi-Yo.  I like their tart yogurt, but the place is usually a ghost town.  Pretty sure, one of the other self-serve yogurt places opened not long ago right across the street.  I'd like to see the business plan for these places, because market saturation does not seem to be something they even vaguely consider.
