The next phase for Sheridan's will begin on Monday, June 6. Unforked Sweets & Eats, the new restaurant concept from Jim Sheridan, is set to open at 7337 W. 119th St. in the remodeled site that previously held one of his custard shops.
"It's about flavor. People need to crave our food," chef Rob Corliss, who has worked with Sheridan on developing the concept of Unforked, told Fat City back in April.
The breakfast menu is a mix of breakfast tacos and burgers. Half of the tacos will have eggs (just whites are an option), while the other half will be packed with items such as sliced avocado or applewood smoked bacon. The lunch and dinner menus feature tacos, tortas, quesadillas and burgers. The sides include house-made fries and chips (made with tortillas from La Superior). The menu is a take on the street food that Corliss and Sheridan discovered around the country.
The beer list includes everything from a 6-ounce Boulevard Pilsner ($1) to a 750 ml bottle of Saison Belgium Dupont Ale ($22). In between are Free State Copperhead Ale, Breckenridge Vanilla Porter and Ranger IPA. Wine will also be available by the bottle and glass (Big House and Black Box). Unforked will still serve Sheridan's custard for dessert and Root Beer Floats.
Diners can opt to eat inside or on the patio. Food is also available for carryout or can be ordered at the drive-through. Unforked will be open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The phone number is 913-661-9887.

But could have also bought the former Sam's Grill next store to make it bigger.
Their menu has been posted for about a week. http://unforked.com/menu.php
It is a little more limited than I was hoping for when I heard there would be tacos and tortas, but I guess if they are going for quality over quantity...
It is about time they put out some info. I've driven by a couple times recently. I'd say they dropped the ball on their facebook page. For a while it was kept up, but lately it has been silent
