The upper-level patio at McCormick & Schmick's (448 West 47th Street) on the Plaza got a major face-lift just in time for summer. There now are two main seating areas, tables under oversized white umbrellas, and a collection of patio chairs organized around a central fire pit. But perhaps most importantly, the patio has a dedicated outdoor serving staff.

Along with the physical updates, McCormick & Schmick's has rolled out a series of new specials and entertainment options. The Sunday Night Relax (3 p.m. to close) has $1 oysters, half-priced bottles of wine and live acoustic music from 5 to 8 p.m. There's a "Wednesday Goose & Jazz Patio Party" from 3:30 to 10 p.m., with live jazz from 5 to 8 p.m. and specials on Grey Goose cocktails.

The regular happy hour will continue to run from 3 to 6 p.m. in the bar and patio ($1 oysters and $1.95 happy-hour menu) Monday through Friday, but McCormick & Schmick's has added a late-night happy hour from 9 p.m. to close Sunday through Thursday with $1 oysters and $2 off small plates.
