Do you want beer at fast-food locations?

Not your average combo meal.
  • Not your average combo meal.

You can already get a beer down at Burger King's Whopper Bar in the Power & Light District, but that might not be the only fast-food joint serving brews in the future.

Sonic is going to test market beer and wine at two Florida locations, and Starbucks is already serving beer and wine at four Seattle-area coffee shops. While alcohol at fast-food restaurants in the United States seems like a novel concept, it's a well-established model in Europe -- The Independent writes that the first McDonald's opened in Munich, Germany, in 1971 with beer on the menu. While brewskis are probably not coming to the drive-through, would you want to order a burger, fries and a chocolate ale from your fast-food shop of choice?
