It's official: Food trucks have arrived. The first annual Westport Food Truck Festival is tonight and Saturday at the Back Yard at the Beaumont Club. There will be 17 food trucks joining the collection of graphic artists and designers selling locally made goods at The Westport Marketplace.
Don't miss the burger at the Good You, the sausages from Guerilla Gourmet or the barbecue smoked, pulled pork tamales. Holy Crepe is driving up from St. Louis and 3 Girls Cupcakes will be their on Saturday with Cherry Mash and S'Mores cupcakes. The event costs $5 per day ($10 for a two-day pass), and it runs from 5 p.m. to midnight Friday and 3 p.m. to midnight Saturday.

in Weston, Missouri, on Saturday and Sunday. For
those not busy cooking, there's live music both nights, with Outlaw Jim
and the Whiskey Benders kicking it off on Saturday. Be sure to grab a
few pints from the Weston Brewing Company, including Little Lucy's Hot
Pepper Ale, which will require another beer to cool your mouth down.
Mamas and papas, hide your watermelons. Gallagher is back in town. The fruit-smashing, outspoken comic is at Knuckleheads Saloon tonight. The show starts at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $20.
Party In The Park comes to Swope Park tomorrow. Listen to free jazz and blues, including the Starlight Stars on the stage at Starlight, between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. For $5, enjoy all you can eat pancakes and sausages from Chris Cakes. Use those pancakes as fuel for the free herb walk workshop from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Kansas City Community Gardens before heading down to the KPRS Block Party at Lewis Road from 1 to 4 p.m.
