Do you eat out alone?

Do you fear the table for one?
In the past two years, I've had more meals alone than in my previous 30 on this Earth. As a result, I've learned how to be comfortable at a table by myself. I've had great meals in the company of a good book, wiped sauce off my laptop more than I care to admit, and discovered the prurient joys of an overheard conversation.

One of the main benefits of eating at a table for one is that you focus more on your food than you might when dining with others. I'm also constantly thinking of who I'd like to take somewhere in the same way that someone else might hear about a new book or product and store it away as a potential birthday gift for a friend. Do you dine alone or is it something you'd look to avoid at all costs?
