You've had a few days to digest what turned out to be a hefty issue for the 2011 Pitch Best Of Awards. Here's where you can let us know what you think of the food, drink and BBQ plate categories. What did we get right and what do you think we missed? Kindly keep it civil because your mom reads this blog, as well.

editors choice = paid product placement
readers choice = ballot tampering of the worst kind

Uh, I think the DJ from Moxie won because MORE PEOPLE VOATED FOR HER. People like her style. One doesn't necessarily have to be a gangsta type to do well as a DJ, and it was refreshing to see a chick win!

One of the better lists. I do like the top three listed. The number of categories on the Reader's Choice might have been a bit long, but more people being recognized is a good thing.

Oh here we go, the losers have a chance to bitch about not winning by blaming it on ballot tampering. I enjoy the issue every year. Good work Pitch! #BestofKC

One of the best I've seen over the last few years. I love using it as a guide to the city. Thanks Pitch!

paid product placement for the ones the editors/writers vote for. Ballot tampering in the worst sort of way for the readers choice.

I think you guys do a good job of paying respect to some great well known places, while at the same time putting the word out on lesser known locations and dishes many people need to hear about. The categories themselves can be hit or miss, but the fact that you're not doing the same generic rundown "best of" list that can be found anywhere is pretty cool.

Lame, hard to read online. Please implement some kind of voter fraud scheme next year.

How the hell did the DJ from Moxie get best DJ? Sheppa and Ashton blow her away.

Also, was there not a section for best wine shop? If not, Cellar Rat hands down.

I am too smokin' hot for this post. Too smokin'. But as always I was looking for the best blog and maybe I missed it? Saw comedy blog- well-deserved, but what the other ones were only people's choice. Never heard of food blog #2.

I think it was quite a few stuffed ballot boxes. Not really a best of but nice try.

Overall great issue. I was suprised by some of the top vote getters because I thought the people of KC's tastes were more evolved than Chipotle and other things. But alas that's the beauty of the issue.
