Sky News interviewed a Welsh vegetable farmer, Ian Neale, who caught the eye of the rapper through a series ofYouTube videos. [h/t Reddit]. Ian Neale, whose previous claim to fame was growing the world's largest rutabaga (85 pounds), was asked by Snoop for some advice on how to grow the biggest plants. And it turns out that Neale had a pretty intense session with the amateur horticulturalist. [h/t Reddit]
After seeing Neale's record-breaking rutabagas, Snoop Dogg reached out with a video of his own, speaking in front of a digital wallpaper covered in marijuana leaves.
" 'Cause I do vegetation myself and I want to know your secret, so I can show you my vegetables and see if you can grow that into a real big vegetable," Snoop stated in an open YouTube video to Neale.
His offer? Two tickets and backstage access. Neale turned down the tickets, saying "it's not my scene." But he did grab his VIP pass as a souvenir, which led to quite the meeting between the rapper and the grower.
"I had a smoke with him. I don't smoke, but he offered me one, and I took one," Neale told Sky News.
"I hope it was tobacco," replies Sky News' Lisa Dowd.
"No, it wasn't," Neale says, giggling.
And that, dear children, is how one Welsh farmer learned to love a weed.
