Largo Patch has the story of Deuces Sports Bar & Grill (426 West Bay Drive), a restaurant he co-owns with his father, Marcus, and mother, Wendy Hall — the manager and a native of the Florida town.
Deuces, which Marcus named for McCluster's jersey number 22, serves chicken and waffles and buffalo shrimp and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The sports bar has an unrivaled collection of McCluster memorabilia (signed hats, cleats, his college uniform) and, of course, the Chiefs are always playing on a television every Sunday.
If you're in the area during the Chiefs offseason, odds are that you'll find McCluster there, as he told the Largo Patch:
“I plan on being in there every day when I’m home during the offseason,” McCluster said by phone from Kansas City. “I want people to know me, the person, not just the football player.”
Hopefully, his offseason will begin right around February 6, 2012.
