Why you're saving 13 cents every time you drink a beer at Arrowhead

It's hard not to have a bit of sticker shock when you go from tailgaiting in the parking lot to sitting in the stands at Arrowhead. But according to the Business Insider, the Kansas City Chiefs' $7 beers are 13 cents below the average price of a "small" draft beer at stadiums across the National Football League. The bad news? A "small" draft beer is not the same size everywhere, meaning that the beer might not be as cheap as it seems.

Within the AFC West, the Chiefs are tied with Oakland for the most expensive suds. San Diego has the fourth cheapest beers in the country at $6 apiece, while Denver is taking in $6.75 per brew.

In the list, compiled from data at fancostexperience.com, there's also one more reason not to be a St. Louis Rams' fan. A beer at the Edward Jones Dome will set you back $9 (a full 25 cents higher than the New York Jets and Giants) — the highest priced beer in the country. However, a small size in St. Louis is 20 oz., while a small in Kansas City is 16 oz.

The Kansas City Business Journal did the math and it's 45 cents per ounce in St. Louis and 44 cents per ounce in KC. So at least you can lord your restraint (if not a significant cost savings) over Rams' fans. In reality, both groups of fans deserve cheap beer for what they're going through this season.
