Free Wendy's cheeseburgers today at Barney Allis Plaza

The Wendy's Tour of America (a 14-week, 26-city tour) stops in Kansas City today from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wendy's will be giving away free Dave's Hot N' Juicy Cheeseburgers with a Frosty at Barney Allis Plaza, which is adjacent to the Kansas City Convention Center at 13th and Wyandotte.

The new burger, named for founder Dave Thomas, has more cheese, a thicker patty and a buttered bun, and mustard is no longer applied standard. It took two years to develop, and it debuted in September.
