Do you take your coffee in substances other than coffee?

Coffee is now just another ingredient.

Like bacon, coffee has managed to find its way into all kinds of dishes. There's coffee beer, coffee in chocolate (Serious Eats recently reviewed KA-POW), and Shatto unveiled its version of coffee milk last month. Some are inspired, like this ancho chili coffee-rubbed steak from Pierpont's, while others are misguided (Barista Sips — the discontinued line of caffeinated strips).

You might be particular about what is in your cup of joe, but I bet you've got a few preferences as to the marketplace that has long since left behind chocolate-covered coffee beans. What do you like your coffee in?

Check out the Kona Rubbed Steak at Capital Grille....best use of coffee not in a drink that I've had.

I like to add a couple of shots of espresso to my homemade chili to give it a little edge.

Kahlua, Bailey's, Tia Maria. I'm also partial to putting instant coffee in vanilla yogurt. And I like to chew on those chocolate covered coffee beans. I like coffee beans in Sambuca too.

I actually really love the barbeque sauce that The Roasterie did with Original Juan. It has Super Tuscan espresso in it, and is very tasty.

When I make bacon jam the recipe calls for a cup or so of strong coffee, I use some of my home roast. Right now I'm tinkering with coffee flavored buttercream to use in macarons...I don't like to wuss out and use the instant espresso powder most recipes call for.

Blanc does a "breakfast" burger with a coffee rubbed burger, egg and bacon that is incredible.
