Jack in the Box is now open at the Speedway shopping center

Jacks will now be on hand at the Kansas Speedway for more than a handful of weekends a year. Jack in the Box opened last week at the Speedway shopping center (across from the Legends) in Kansas City, Kansas. The newest area burger spot at 10630 Parallel Parkway is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, joining Taco Bell, Olive Garden and Chick-Fil-A, all of which opened the previous year in the shopping center.

Jack in the Box continues its relentless expansion into the Kansas City market. In October, a franchise opened in Blue Springs at 808 N. Missouri 7 (the intersection of Missouri 7 and Mock). It was the third location to open in the past two years, joining restaurants at 10317 Metcalf in Overland Park and 211 S. 18th St. in Kansas City, Kansas. Jack in the Box is also expected to open in Olathe.

The area around the Kansas Speedway is getting a host of new dining options. Earlier this month, Logan's Roadhouse broke ground on a new location in the same shopping district and is expected to open in the summer of 2012. And the Hollywood Casino is also expected to open next year (with chef Marshall Roth among the staff, as Charles Ferruzza reported last week) with a steakhouse, buffet, cafe and coffee shop.
