Do you ever go out to eat at the supermarket?

Would you ever take a date to the Cosentinos Downtown Market?

Paper or plastic has a different connotation at grocery stores today. Now, it's all about paper plates and plastic forks as supermarkets are discovering that having a restaurant can be a good way to drive traffic to their stores.

The Boston Globe looks at the growing trend of high-end supermarket dining experiences, meant to compete directly with restaurants (think something along the lines of the Cosentino's Market downtown on Main Street). Do you ever go out to eat at a supermarket's restaurant?

I have lunch at my local grocery store a couple times a week.

They have an awesome salad bar, and killer catfish fillets.

I frequently eat at Consentino's for lunch..they have great tasting food and lots of variety. Prices have increased but they are still pretty reasonable. I love the atmosphere there as well. My husband and I like going to Hyvee for dinner sometimes...esp since they now offer a buffet type price package where you can eat at any of their food stations--chinese/pizza/salad&soup bar/hot bar options for about $9 an adult;all you can eat. Grocery stores offer cheap and good eats usually and you can do your shopping afterwards....sounds like a convenient thing to me!!!!

I will if by myself for lunch. It is not a "destination" place to dine or somewhere i'd consider for dinner though.
