I'm now thinking that rule will need to be extended to Craigslist, of all places. The above ad either represents a new way to do business or just a side of the online exchange site that is new to me. Are we looking at the evolution of the farmers market or cooperative buying groups? Would you buy ground beef off Craigslist?

When I was in college I noticed one time at an Aldi's that the cat food tuna was more expensive than the human tuna.
Not craigslist, no
If it's local why does it need to be frozen?
$5/lbs? That's too much
Seems a little odd, but knowing some people who actually buy whole and half cows, this is how they receive it when they pick it up. There's quite a bit of ground beef and it's packaged in 1lb packages, wrapped in white butcher paper.
Seems a little odd for someone to then turn around and sell it on Craigslist instead of selling it to family/friends.
If the ad were from the farmer, then it would appear normal to me. Like, say if this guy posted an ad on CL: http://www.kcbuffalo.com/
Just when you think you've seen it all. HELL NO I wouldn't buy ANY food off of Craigslist. That's crazy! I don't know how high you would have to be to even think to buy or sell meat like this. I don't trust much of the non-edible stuff on CList, let alone food! It's a great place to find a car or a job or the wheels that someone stole from my Jeep, but food? Come on man!
