How do you feel about dinner for breakfast?

Have you had your burger this morning?
  • Have you had your burger this morning?
Fast-food joints are often maligned, in this space and others, for ridiculous menu machinations. But I think Wendy's may deserve a bit of credit for its latest innovation. Forget breakfast for dinner. Wendy's is now committed to bringing you dinner for breakfast.

While I'm still not sold on its cheeseburger to start my morning, the concept is intriguing enough that I'd love to see it extend beyond the drive-through. Why don't more places offer dinner for breakfast or the dinner equivalent of an all-day breakfast menu? This could signal a radical shift away from abominations like breakfast pizza and may be an improvement on cold leftover pizza. Instead, we could have hot, fresh pizza at any time of day. Who's up for dinnereakfest or dinnerfest?

Hamburgers! The cornerstone of any nutritious breakfast. What kind of hamburgers?

It's my general thing to eat my dinner leftovers for breakfast the following days.

This is an interesting concept. I think it's pretty common for places like McD's to serve their full menu in the early morning in their airport locations (but don't quote me on that! I just swear they do it in at least the Orange County airport in CA), but for places like Wendy's to serve their burgers and fries starting first thing in the morning? They must've been getting plenty of requests for it, I'd think...

Nope. I love breakfast too much to not want to eat it for breakfast. Breakfast for dinner, now that's the good life.

In St. Louis, we regularly stopped at White Castle's for a bag of 3-4 burgers or cheeseburgers (remember they are small) on the way to work...no greasier than the sausage patties at other breakfast places!

If you want BBQ for breakfast, RJ's in Mission serves a BBQ brunch, (I think it is served Thurs.-Sun) that is awesome, more brunch than dinner, but getting closer to full BBQ dinner for breakfast.

Breakfast food is my favorite.

I have been known to have eggs and hashbrowns for dinner.
