- Step 1: Head over to Paciugo Gelato.
You don't have to settle for a combination plate in the food court at Oak Park Mall. Instead, I want you to take your $8, make two stops and leave with the finest food option in the mall. First up, is
Paciugo Gelato — a free-standing gelato kiosk that will sell you a small cup (up to three flavors) for $4 (including tax). I opted for dark chocolate and top-seller salted caramel.

- Step 2: Purchase two chocolate-chip cookies from Nestle Toll House, which is about 200 feet away from Paciugo. The cookies are $1.75 each and the approximate size of tea saucers. Ask if any are warm and feel free to substitute cookie flavors.

- Step 3: Spoon out the entire cup contents onto the cookie base. The gelato is thick enough that you can simply turn the spoon in a clockwise motion and lift.

- Step 4: The second cookie completes the sandwich. Lick the outsides like a dad saving his kid's ice-cream cone and then enjoy.
