Wednesday is the day when meal planning tends to fall by the wayside and you're just looking for somebody else to get you through the week. Fat City is here to help. Today, we've got five things you can eat and drink this week. And the best part is that all of them require exactly zero amount of cooking or cleaning on your part.

5. Chocolate Ale. We are a city still in the throes of Boulevard's Chocolate Ale. Glasses on tap have been selling around the city for anywhere from $5.50 (a steal at Charlie Hooper's) to $8 a glass. If you haven't had a chance to try the second edition of the local brewery's collaboration with Christopher Elbow, your best bet may be the Farmhouse, which is getting four more kegs today.

4. Hopslam. Next Door Pizza and Pub in Lee's Summit is tapping a keg at 4:30 p.m. tomorrow. Get a drink and some deep dish — you won't be able to muster up the effort to worry about anything else after that.

3. Blanc Burgers + Bottles launches its new lunch menu this week. The price for the quick-fix lunch dropped from $9.50 to $8.95, and there's now a soup and salad option for $7.95.

2. Story adds a chicken dish to its lunch menu. In a nice celebration of what's in season, the Prairie Village restaurant is serving a Campo Lindo chicken breast with artichokes, carrots and mashed Yukon gold potatoes. They've also got a daily three-course, $18 prix fixe lunch option — a sample offering from last week was roasted butternut squash bisque, risotto and house-made doughnuts.

1. Esquina in Lawrence is closing on Friday, February 10. The upscale taqueria (see Charles Ferruzza's review from last November) from Robert and Molly Krause will relaunch as a Mediterranean concept with Spanish influences (the smart money is on plenty of small plates) on Sunday, February 19.
