What drink are you pairing with your Valentine's chocolates?

Cordials are the answer for the lazy romantic.

In an ideal world, we might all be sipping Boulevard's Chocolate Ale — a dessert and a beverage — tomorrow. In reality, you're probably looking for something to go with that Whitman's sampler box (if you haven't figured out what chocolate to buy, this guide should point you in the right direction).

I'll be cracking a bottle of Prosecco. Serious Eats has a serious list of chocolate and beer pairings. And you've always got milk in your fridge (which you might as well use to create a spiked hot chocolate). So how about it? Who has a great pairing of a drink and a chocolate? Kindly name both halves of the pairing in the comments.

Chocolate wrapped cordials - try World Market on Westport Road. They ALWAYS have them!

In fact, we ARE having the Elbow/Bolulevard Chocolate Ale tonight at the Taste Beering at Grinder's. (Sorry folks, it's sold out!) The menu looks deevoon. More details tomorrow after we've pigged out! (And yes, I hope you missed me, I was in Hawaii and wrote some reviews there on Yelp).

We've got a bottle of Framboise Lambic in our fridge. Husband bought it for my birthday last week, but he'd also bought champagne. We drank the champagne and saved the lambic for this week. WOO!

Port always works for me. Also New Glarus Raspberry Tart, but you can only get that in Wisconsin.
