Finally, we can celebrate our pickup hoops wins, Kansas City. No longer will you have to let Coach take you to Applebee's. That's right, lovers of Malibu Chicken, we're getting a Sizzler (or six) of the steak and salad-bar chains.
Kansas City is one of the target markets (the others are in Chicago, Minneapolis, Denver and St. Louis) in a five-year expansion plan for the California-based company. The Star reported yesterday that Blue Springs, Gladstone, Independence, Lee's Summit, Liberty, Olathe and Overland Park are potential franchise locations.
"We're gonna eat at Sizzler?" you ask.
"Damn right, surf and turf," is the answer.
