The new cafe began feeding downtowners last Thursday with an open production kitchen where you can watch the dumplings being made. In addition to selling hot pierogi and sides like pasta and potato salad, Pieroguys also sells frozen pierogi to take home.
The pierogi options range from traditional potato and cheddar to potato, mozzarella, mild Italian sausage and pepperoni. Vegetarians have a host of options from sweet potato to potato, cheddar and organic broccoli (or sauerkraut). Meat eaters should try the potato, cheddar, jalapeno and bacon, or the scrambled egg, peppered bacon, potato and cheddar.
The new cafe opens at 10 a.m. and serves lunch and dinner. You can place an order by calling 816-252-1575.
