Just two doors down from LaMar's Donuts (and directly across the street from Werner's), Dips & Sips - the space has previously held a dance studio, consulting business and graphic-design shop - stocks 16 flavors of ice cream and 11 flavors of soft serve. The ice cream is now the base for a variety of frozen treats, from banana splits to floats. Sundaes are just $2, and a mini explosion (a blended treat like a Dairy Queen Blizzard) is $3.The soft serve is available plain or with a ribbon of flavor burst (eight flavors from blueberry to butterscotch) are available. In addition to ice cream, Dips & Sips sells cake pops, pies and ice-cream cakes.
Dips & Sips is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday. The phone number is 913-677-DIPS (3477). The ice-cream shop is holding a grand opening Saturday, April 14, and Sunday, April 15. It'll be offering a promotion of buy one dip, get one dip free.
