"This is a growing area and a great match for Spin," said co-owner Edwin Brownell in a release.
The new 3,500-square-foot restaurant in the Prairie Center shops seats 100 and has an outdoor patio with seating for an additional 48 people.
Spin will also expand its free weekly bike-ride series with guided rides leaving every Thursday at 6:15 p.m. from the Lenexa restaurant. Bike-ride participants get 10 percent off their dinner if they dine at the pizza restaurant afterward.
Spin operates four other locations: 4950 Main, 1800 N.W. Chipman Rd. in Lee's Summit, 6541 W. 119th St. in Overland Park and 14230 W. 119th St. in Olathe. Spin also has announced plans to open a restaurant in late 2012 or early 2013 in the Corinth Square Shopping Center in Prairie Village. Earlier this year, Spin signed a franchise agreement with restaurateur Craig Hofman to bring 35 restaurants to the Southern California area.
The new location will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
