Do politics influence your food choices?

Things are getting a bit spicy at Chick-Fil-A.

Mayor Thomas Menino made national headlines last week when he stated that he wasn't going to have Chick-fil-A in his city in light of comments opposing gay marriage from Dan Cathy, the chicken chain's president.

That’s the Freedom Trail. That’s where it all started right here. And we’re not going to have a company, Chick-fil-A or whatever the hell the name is, on our Freedom Trail," Menino told the Boston Herald.

While Menino's comments have ignited debate, the point I'd like to stick to in this space is a bigger one about chains and independent restaurants alike. Do the politics of a restaurant owner or a restaurant's decision on how to source its ingredients influence whether you'll eat there?
