The Blue Nile has closed its sister restaurant, the Blue Nile Cafe (13316 Metcalf) in Overland Park [h/t to Fat City reader Tom Ballew ]. Daniel and Salem Fikru have decided to focus on their original location that serves Ethiopian cuisine in the City Market (20 East Fifth Street).

The Overland Park location opened in the beginning of 2011, and Fat City's Charles Ferruzza found a bevy of options for vegetarians four months later. The City Market location is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. It's closed on Mondays.
