Homer's Coffee House has opened at Red Bridge and Holmes

The beauty of coffee is that it crosses boundaries. Homer's Coffee House has proved that with its new location in the Red Bridge Shopping Center at Holmes and Red Bridge Road. The second coffee shop for the Overland Park mainstay (the original location is at 7126 W. 80th St. just off Metcalf) is participating in Specialty Coffee Week: a double shot of espresso or a 16-oz. coffee is $1 at both beaneries through Friday, September 21.

Homer's serves E.F. Hobbs coffee [see the Fat City interview with roaster Brian Jurgens] and a mean Mexican hot chocolate. The shop also makes its own baked goods (blueberry-walnut scones) and soups.
