If you feel that your beer-drinking arm is out of practice, you can start with the Power & Light District’s 2012 Oktoberfest Brew Tour Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. Six of the bars and restaurants will be offering Oktoberfest beers and small-plate pairings — be sure to stop by the Flying Saucer Draught Emporium for Ayinger Oktoberfest and bratwurst medallions, and McFadden's for Samuel Adams Oktoberfest and mini bratwurst sliders. Tickets cost $25 in advance or $30 at the door.

It’s not the crop it once was, but tobacco is back in the spotlight for the Weston Heritage Festival, headquartered at the New Deal Tobacco Warehouse (179455 Highway 45 N., in Weston). There will be cigar rolling, pipe making, and tours of the Vintage Tobacco Museum. Perhaps the best way to appreciate the city’s agricultural history is by sampling the cheese, wine and beer made in Weston, all of which are available at the festival, happening today through Sunday.

It's not often that a check-up comes with a free lunch. Menorah Medical Center's Neighborhood Block Party is Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. in Overland Park. There will be free health screenings, a bounce house (for the kids) and lunch provided for all attendees.

The Third Annual Ballard B3 brings together bands, barbecue and beer. It's a solid combination at Clinton Lake Softball Complex (5101 Speicher Road) in Lawrence this Saturday at 5 p.m. With eight regional breweries in attendance, it's worth the drive. Tickets cost $50 and include unlimited beer and barbecue, a T-shirt and a commemorative glass.

What's on tap this weekend for you?
