Smokey's on the Blvd. sauces up Metcalf

Smokey's on the Blvd., a joint effort from Rob Harris and his son, Jason, has thrown its hickory in the ring. The father-son duo opened their barbecue joint last month at 14521 Metcalf in the Lionsgate Marketplace.
The Overland Park restaurant has a classic-car motif and the barbecue staples: ribs, pulled pork sandwiches, sausage and picnic sides. They also offer a unique dish in BBQ Spaghetti (think Cincinnati Chili if the topping were barbecued meat and sauce). Smokey's is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 12 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
