"The Badseed market will have local chestnuts, pecans, and black walnuts as well as freshly milled flour, free-range eggs, and raw honey," says market founder Brooke Salvaggio via e-mail. "An outrageous abundance of heirloom produce will complement grass-fed meats, gourmet mushrooms, and French Farmstead Cheeses."
BadSeed will also have a collection of baked goods and desserts, as well as raw vegan chocolate.
"Rustic sourdough breads, buttery rolls, holiday pies, and delectable sweet treats (all made with local/organic wheat) will be available along with slow-cooked jams, apple butter, and herbed jellies," Salvaggio says. "All this can be gotten while enjoying a hot cup of Oddly Correct coffee with aromatic beans to boot."
Free-range turkeys are available from Green Gate Family Farm. The turkeys are heritage breeds, ranging from 12 to 18 pounds, and supplemented with certified organic grain. You can reserve a bird by calling 816-809-5074. They will be delivered Tuesday, November 20, in the Brookside neighborhood.
