Your liver may disagree, but according to
The Daily Beast, Kansas City is not one of the
25 drunkest cities in America. This is a good thing. The annual survey bases its rankings on the number of alcoholic drinks consumed by an adult in a month, the percentage of a city's population classified as binge drinkers (drinking that leads to blowing above a .08) and the percentage of the population classified as heavy drinkers (averaging more than two drinks per day for a man and one drink per day for a woman).
Boston tops the 2012 list while St. Louis comes in at 23rd with a whopping 18 percent of the city being binge drinkers. Chicago (eighth) and Milwaukee (third) were the only Midwest cities to crack the top 10. So raise a fizzy cider or carefully measured cocktail - here's to another year of being able to hold our liquor.
