Twisted - a new sandwich shop in Shawnee (22030 W. 66th St.). Here's what we told you then:
We all could be witnessing the birth of the next great local sandwich chain.
And now it appears that Twisted - the wrap, taco and burger joint from Alan Rust - is on its way. Earlier this month, the sandwich purveyor opened a second location in Overland Park at 11737 College Blvd. The mahi mahi tacos are popular, and those on a gluten-free diet will appreciate their salads (caribbean jerk and chicken cobb among them).
Twisted is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. The phone number is 913-387-4811.
