- The Rieger
- If you lived here, you'd be eating right now.
You might be proud of what's coming out of your kitchen, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't match up to what's cooking at the Rieger Hotel Grill & Exchange. The former Rieger Hotel, the building that holds the first-floor restaurant and the basement speakeasy Manifesto, is for sale. (Back in 2011, Charles Ferruzza talked to the Rieger's Ryan Maybee about the
building's history).
If you've got $1.85 million, the building on the National Register of Historic Places is yours. The Rieger Hotel was built in 1915 and restored between 2000 and 2003. Today, the top two floors are loft spaces, and the building comes with a roof garden and glass room.
