What's the best ballpark food?

Is this the best thing being served at the ballpark?

With the Kansas City Royals' 2013 season set to get under way today against the Chicago White Sox at U.S. Cellular Field (first pitch is scheduled for 3:10 p.m.), I've got peanuts and Cracker Jack on the brain. But the old ballpark standards are easy to forget about in the golden age of stadium food that America is currently gorging on. The Pitch and Fat City have previously given praise to the Dippin' Dots stand (it earned a Pitch Best Of in 2000) and the limeade from Topsy's.

In 2011, Hampton Stevens made the case in The Atlantic that the secret to the Royals' success was actually Stroud's. The K now has Sheridan's Frozen Custard, gussied up hot dogs, Chinese food and Boulevard beer in backpacks. But what Fat City really wants to know: What's the best ballpark food?
