Gordon Biersch celebrates spring with Maibock tapping

The only way to make it feel like spring is to switch what's in your glass. Find a bit of spring with Gordon Biersch's Maibock. The limited-release Einbeck-style lager will be tapped at the Leawood location (11652 Ash) at 5:30 p.m. today, and at the downtown location (100 East 14th Street) at 6 p.m. tomorrow.

The free tapping parties feature the new beer, as well as samples of a few new spring menu items: slow-cooked Asian ribs with crackling ground peanuts and a white-chocolate-mousse lemon cake (a lemon cake topped with blueberries and a warm blueberry sauce), as well as a superfood salad (kale with blueberries, smoked almonds, Craisins, feta cheese and a lemon vinaigrette).
