When the weather's hot and sultry, there's nothing quite as refreshing as a cool, summery dish that's loaded with flavor and soothingly light. McCormick & Schmick's on the Country Club Plaza is offering a tasty small salad created with fresh orange wedges (the salad could actually use more of them); ribbons of fresh fennel (the sweet, aromatic plant that tastes mildly of anise); and slivers of bright red pepper and purple onion in a sweet citrus vinaigrette. It's delicious with one of the featured loster dishes or just a hunk of the hot sourdough bread and butter.
