Re: “Llywelyn's Pub

It's in the neighborhood, so we decided to give it a whirl. Much better than we anticipated.....some of the finest pub food in town. The buffalo chicken wrap is second to none.

Re: “Papa Bob's Bar-B-Que

Outstanding BBQ and sides! There's a wide variety of sauces, because Bob is always tinkering. More than likely Bob will be there walking around talking to customers like they are family. He'll even bring new sauces or other ideas he's working on to let you try. Thanks to an appearance on Man vs. Food, he gets visitors from all over the world. The world map with push pins from visitors is very cool. Last time I was there, a couple from Great Britain were there -- came straight from KCI to Papa Bobs. Good stuff, and easy to get to -- just off K-7 at Highway 32.

Re: “Little Richard’s Family Restaurant

The food quality is great but everything is so blah!!! It would be AMAZING food if they would actually SEASON somethings. That's my only complaint. The customer service and everything else is geeat!!

Re: “Dos de Oros

We eat at a lot of Mexican restaurants - Never again here. We had lunch today at Dos de Oros. First we noticed that the chips were fresh out of the bag and cold. The salsa had less spice/heat that tomato soup. We asked if they had a spicier salsa. We got about two tablespoons. That was very good. We had chicken spinach enchilada and fish tacos. Again, no flavor. The meals were over priced by a dollar or two. We are still looking for a neighbor restaurant. Dos de Oros is not it. We have never had such poor Mexican food.

Re: “The Rebecca Grille

Great little intimate bistro style restaurant. Food is fresh and made to order. Very accommodating to special dietary needs. Love the made in house pasta. Brunch is a fav too as it is from a menu and not a nasty buffet where you know the food is not fresh. The staff is great, they always have a smile on their face and give great service. Love the bartender. He makes some yummy drinks. Great place all the way around!

Re: “El Patron Cocina & Bar

Loved it way cool ambience. Mango margaritas the very best. Taco point in cooking when you can get 2 huge tacos for $1.99 each. Thinnest chips next to Jose Peppers, but you get two types of salsa here.

Re: “Mingle

Very nice bar, owners and staff are super nice and small plates are great, especially the filet medallions & mashed potatoes! Finally a nice restaurant in downtown Lee's Summit that should be around for a long time!

Re: “Jerusalem Bakery

What a dump. The place was dirty. The seating and tables were all junked up. The food was cold. At the register I paid a flat $10.00, for one plate of lousy food. I won't be going back.

Re: “Avenues Bistro (CLOSED)

Did you know that when you get food poisoning from something you ate at Avenues Bistro and you call to tell them, their managers call you a liar, tell you they will refund your money and blow you off. When you call 3 times to follow up, they can't be bothered to return your call. Very disappointing and now they have lost a long time customer.

Re: “China Town Super Buffet

I drive an hour and a half to go to this restaurant only to find that it was closed for remodeling. That would have been nice to know ahead of time.

Re: “Osteria Il Centro

This tiny place just South of the Plaza is soooo good. Their bread is so yummy you can fill up on it, but don't, because the dinners are excellent, as well as the wine list. One of my new favorites, Carbonara Gorgonzola.

Re: “Andre’s Confiserie Suisse

I love this place. I have been eating here since the 70s. The food is wonderful & changes daily. The pastries are to die for. My favorite lunch place in the whole world. & yes, I have lived all over the world.
